Mr. Swendner:

I believe we are related! I have only been searching my ancestors for a few months and have not been able to set down and group each family together. However, I do know that my grandmother (Mary Kuss) was born in Shiner, TX and my grandfather (John Albert Roemisch) was born in a town a few miles from Shiner. I think it was Morgan or Morton but I haven't confirmed which it was yet. I am pretty certain that Anna Roemisch is my grandfather's sister. I'll have to go back and look at the different websites I have been on to verify that because my little sister took all my papers home with her to copy them so she can help me. I'm almost 100% certain that Anna is my great aunt.

I'd love to hear the details you have about the child that Anna had and any other information you could share with me.

My father (Albert Joe Roemisch) is turning 70 years old on December 18th and my sisters and I are trying our best to find as many family members and historical stories that we can so we can assemble them and present it to dad at his surprise birthday party.

Please feel free to email me directly at

Thanks so much for responding and I'm truly looking forward to hearing from you.

Marie Roemisch Dickey
