The Bureau of land Management Patent Search at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/PatentSearch/ shows a Reuben Wilson Rogers of White County Illinois obtaining land in that county on 28 July 1838. Have you searched the White County Land records to see when he might have sold that land and where he was living when he disposed of it?

I have a book of tax payers for Madison county Arkansas that does not list Reuben Wilson Rogers for 1837 but does start listing him in 1838 and continues through 1845 with one exception, he is not listed in 1841.

Does anyone know of another Reuben Wilson Rogers besides the one in White Co. Tennessee and Madison Co. AR?
