I don't know if there is a connection or not, but the dates and place of origin seem close. My Rohde's came from Kolmar, Posen, Gemany. They also settled around Chicago, Illinois for a short time. The one immigrating to America were Fred (I can't find his immigration information but I did find Auguste's and thier two children). Fred came about 6 months earlier. His name may have been Frederick or Ferdinand, I'm not sure. On the immigration information, Hattie's name was Hedwig, and William's was Willhelm. They immigrated in 1912.
