I was thinking the Rohde folks kin to me were from Minn. before coming to Tulsa, but it was Michigan and these are
the ancestors you mention. Frederick and Sarah had son
William who married a Staten and they were in Tulsa, OK by
1910. They had two sons, William "Bill" and Frederick "Fred". Fred married Fern Beatrice Medley raised
as a Morrow by her Aunt "May" (Vandagriff) and husband, William "Bill" Morrow from about age 6 months. Her Mother
was May's older sister, Myrtle M. Vandagriff Medley who
married Martin Luther "Bud" Medley and had two sons and the
two daughters before Aunt Myrtle died of the 1918 Flu in
Stroud, OK. Fern and Fred have two sons, Robert Charles
Rohde "Bob" and Richard Earl Rohde and a daughter, Mary
"Charlene" Rohde Anderson Kays. All of these are in OK
and Richard and Charlene are around Tulsa and Bob lives in
Gore, OK. Bob and Charlene were raised by my Mom and Dad
for about 7 years after their Dad, Fred, died in about 1943.
He is buried in Tulsa, OK at Oaklawn Cemetery. Fern was raised as eldest sister to our bunch of 13 kids.
Tharell Ann Morrow
