Alice Ida (Rhodes) Hill Our mom, Alice Ida (Rhodes) Hill passed away Nov. 24, 2007 at her home in Pacific, Wash. with our oldest sister, Norma, by her side. Mom was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Oct. 23, 1925 to Ben and Eva Wolfe. Mom married our dad, Murray Rhodes, on Nov. 19, 1943 in Renton, Wash. They moved to Boise, Idaho and raised six children. Dad passed away in 1975. She married Delbert Hill in Elko, Nev. on May 5, 1977. After Delbert passed away, she went to live with her oldest daughter in Pacific. Mom worked most of her life, mostly at Baird's Dry Cleaners and the Veterans Hospital in housekeeping where she retired. Mom had several things she liked: gardening, canning what she grew, yard sales, gambling, and music. We all have our memories of our mom that we will treasure through our lives and that we will share with our own families as they grow. Mom is survived by her six children: Norma Rhodes of Pacific, Wash.; Don (Angie) Rhodes of Russellville, Ark.; Betty (Bernie) Nelson of Usk, Wash.; Richard (Tish) Rhodes; Susan (Rodney) Boles of Tyler, Tex.; and Stan (Sally) Rhodes of Antioch, Calif. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Greg and Marty Hill; 15 grandchildren; and 16 1/2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Eva Wolfe; her husbands, Murray Rhodes and Delbert Hill; her brothers, Howard and Ben Wolfe; sister, Jene Murfin; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth (Izzy) McGovern. A very special thanks to Pattie (mom's caregiver) who was Heaven sent. And a very special thank you to Norma, who took care of Mom for the past 10 years. You are both incredible. WE MISS YOU MOM! Memorials can be made to Animal Welfare, the Idaho State Veterans Hospital, or a charity of your choice. There will be a viewing for Alice on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at Summers Funeral Home, Boise Chapel. Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery.
