Hi, I have been doing some research on the Rohde family in North Bend--Peter August Rohde was a brother to Heinrich William Rohde, who is an ancestor of my children. The information I have is that there may have been four brothers who came from Germany; and I have a possible ship's passenger list for Peter August, the ship Ethiopia, arrived in NY 8 Nov 1881, where he is traveling with another young man two years older. Listed as Aug who is 24 and Hen who is 26. I believe Heinrich William waited and came the next year. The family legend, which may or may not be true, is that one brother went to either Wisconsin or Michigan, another brother went to California. H. William moved to Cheyenne County, NE. If you are interested in corresponding, let me know.
