Your message is interesting. I have a GGrandmother, Else Magdaleana Rohde, who married August Brandes. He was from Langenheim Germany. Do not know her birthplace. They immigrated to WI in 1869 with 3 children, settling in Calumet Co. I have been able to find very little on the Brandes line, and nothing on Rohde. Because you are in Manitowoc I thought it worth contacting you.
