hi, i don't know if we will have a match or not, i don't have any info on my ggggrandfather's relatives. but he was definately in chicago, in 1880.

here goes:

Carl Rohde came to america aboard the "Frisia" from Hamburg or Havre, Germany to New York. arriving on Mar 7, 1873. He was a Tailor.

He met and married Sedonie Dedelow in Chicago, on July 5, 1874. so he did not waste any time in New York, he was heading for Chicago.

They stayed in Chicago until 1892 when he headed for seattle, Washington.

their children:
Ella rohde, minnie rohde, carl rohde jr, dave rohde, herman rohde, william rohde (all born in Chicago) then Sedonia rohde, amelia rohde, and walter rohde.

hope we get a match, i could use some new leads.
