Hi,
As you say, Thomas s/o John and Pocahontas is credited with a daughter who married into the Bolling family.
Hence there will not be any descendants carrying the surname ROLFE.
There are many persons today who are related to other Rolfe families who have also saved cuttings about John & Pocahontas or have had handed down tales of being related.
Sometimes the cutting was saved just as interest and then a later generation attributed it 'being our family'.
The surname Rolfe was found from the middle ages over a large part of England, especially East Anglia, the Home counties and Southern England. This means that there are a considerable number of unrelated people bearing the surname of ROLFE.
I feel that Jeremiah has no connection with JOhn but I am sure that if you can trace back Jeremiah's ancestry it will be rewarding. I wish you success.
