I don't know anything specific about Catherine Roll and Lott Mott, but the combination of names is interesting. I have a Roll in St. Louis for whom one of the godparents was Mary Mott (apparently known as Mamie). I was told that the Mott's were related somehow to the Roll's, but my source couldn't remember exactly what the relationship was. The baptism occurred in St. Louis, MO in the early 1900's, so it would have been a few generations after the pair your asking about. I'm researching Roll's, and haven't done any research on the Mott's, so can't tell you if there's a Catherine back in 1800. Could your couple have moved west to St. Louis?
