John ROLL, Jr. was born on January 12, 1755. John served in the American Revolution in 1782 as a private under Captain Robert Means in the 7th Class, 7th Company, 8th Battalion of the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania Militia. Colonel Alexander Brown was the commanding officers.
John's wife was Mary FRAMPTON, daughter of John FRAMPTON. They were married in 1780. Their daughter Elizabeth (whom I descend from) married Greenwood BELL.
John was one of the early pioneers of Clarion County at the Brush Run settlement in Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania.
John ROLL, Jr. died January 15, 1816 and is buried in Seceder Cemetery in Mechanicsville, Clarion Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
