George Roll (who is my great great grandfather) was born 3/1819 and died 1894. He married Elizabeth Mhor (she was from Cinci). Elizabeth died at her daughters house near Philo, Ohio. George Roll was a baker, but got out of that and bought a 83 acre farm, per this document for $2,000. He sold this farm to his son Henry Roll in 1892 and moved to Zanesville (he died of obstruction of the bowels caused by eating apples... don't you love that one),
The house on this farm burned down. It was the property of Henry Roll but Herbert Roll, Sir had to build a 6 room house at cost of $3,500. It says Anna had over 1000 cans of her vegetables destroyed. It says all his things went up in smoke. In 1827 anyone that had died and been buried somewhere else was were removed and brought to MountOlive cemetery to be buried. Elizabeth Roll paid all expenses - she lived in Cinci, Ohio.

He worked in both Zanesville and Cinci for his trade. He formed Roll Brothers Boot, Shoe and Leather . But in 1893 there were financial troubles and 52 businesses went out including the Roll business.
John Roll married Elizabeth Durant. Elizabeth died "wasting of the muscles".. lets assume cancer. John Roll was able to sometimes see the dead in a wonderful way.
