In this Church of Taos on the 23rd of January 1876, I married Antonio Martinez, single legitimate son of Jose Marcelino Martinez and Maria Dela Luz Romero, with Eduvigen Romero, single legitimate daughter of Maria Natividad Romero, deceased. Witnesses: Pedro Sanchez and Maria del Refugio Martinez.

MY MOTHER WAS BROUGHT UP BY HER GRANDMOTHER, WHO WAS TALL, BLONDE, AND BLUE EYED. SUPPOSEDLY GREAT GRANDMOTHER HAD BEEN THE INFANT SURVIVOR OF AN INDIAN RAID AND HER FATHER ???MOSTRON OR MUSTRON OF DUTCH DESCENT WAS POSTED AT A NEARBY FORT TO TAOS. GGRANDMOTHER'S MARRIAGE NOTICE LISTS HER AS SINGLE LEGITIMATE DAUGHTER OF MARIA NATIVIDAD ROMERO, DECEASED.
MARIA EDUVEGHEN ROMERO MARR. ANTONIO JOSE DE JESUS MARTINEZ AROUND 1870 IN TAOS. QUESTION---WHAT ARMY POSTS WERE CLOSE TO TAOS IN MID 1800'S? WHERE WOULD I FIND MILITARY RECORDS FOR A ---MOSTRON IN THAT TIME PERIOD? THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP.
