Juan Miguel Romero who is David's grandfather was the son of Ambrosio Felipe Romero and Maria Casilda Maestas. Miguel is often referred to as "don" Miguel which is a title of respect.
Miguel's father is sometimes shown with a military title. Felipe Romero's father is Diego Romero and his mother is Josefa de Medina.
Diego Romero is the son of Salvador Romero and Maria Lopez de Ocanto. A newly discovered marriage record reveals that Salvador Romero was the son of Diego Perez (Romero) and Sebastiana Martin.
Diego Perez is the son of Gaspar Perez and Maria Romero. Diego took his mother's maiden name since his father had been in a lot of trouble with the Spanish Inquisition.
Deigo Perez Romero also had his run in with the Inquisition and died while in prison for polygamy.
Maria Romero is the daughter of Bartolome Romero and Luisa Robledo. Bartolome Romero and his wife were among the first settlers that came to New Mexico in 1598 with Onate.
Bartolome Romero came from Coral de Almaguer in Spain ca. 1597. Bartolome's father is also named Bartolome Romero. His mother is Maria de Avia.
David de Jesus Romero was one of at least nine children. He had a brother named Antonio de Jesus Romero who is my great great grandfather.
I had my DNA tested as a part of the family tree dna program and it tested J2F which is consistent with with the Perez line. J2F is from the middle east and prominent among Jewish people. The male line of Bartolome Romero tests as G2.
Hope this stuff helps you on search
