Scottish Old Parish Records are now available online at
It is a paid service, but has proved very useful to me. I looked this one up for you and can confirm:
James LAWRENCE, baptized 24 Sep 1797 in Aberdeen Parish, Aberdeenshire, born to parents James LAWRENCE and Ann RONALD

Ann LAWRENCE, 09 Mar 1800, born to same parents in same Parish.

My interest in your post had to do with the RONALD family in Aberdeen at that time.

I'm searching for the parents of Henry RONALD, b. ca 1770, who m. Hellen ROBSON on 4 Dec 1791, St. Paul's Chapel, Aberdeen. Their children were all baptized at St. Nicholas.

Do you have any information on Ann RONALD's parents? Or whether she had any siblings? Ann and Henry were married in the same place only a year apart, and I haven't been able to find too many RONALDs in Aberdeen at that time. George is another one, who was married in 1798.

Hope this helps.
