What's up with Fredrick Rooks four Daughters???
Now Fredrick and Lydia Baily Rooks of Irwin County Georgia had four daughters back in the early 1800s. They had three boys also but for now, let us stick with the girls.
1. Mary Rooks the oldest child born in 1822 in Jefferson County.
2. Mahala was born 1829 also in Jefferson or possibly Warren.
3. Matilda Rooks was born 1833 in Jefferson.
4. Elizabeth the baby of the family was born in 1842 possibly with some sort of mental or health disorder.
When Fredrick died around 1851 Asa, the second oldest son assumed the head of house position and was granted guardianship of Elizabeth the youngest, a minor.
Now.....My question is....?What happened to these four ladies? I have located no graves, no marriages, or anything. All four appear to have dropped off the face of the earth. This is the only family of thousands I've researched to have ended in this manor.
Need a little push to help get me started again.
Thanks and will be happy to exchange information.
