Hi David,
If you ever wrote to your local courthouse looking for help with your family genealogy they would give you possibly a little info and then send you to the Mormon church, (I hate to call it a church but anyway.)The Mormons have been cataloging everything genealogy forabout a hundred years because of their doctrine of Baptism for the dead. Which is a misinterpretation of a passage of scripture in 1st Corinthians 15:29. Nowhere in the Bible does it ever tells you to baptize person that has died by proxy into the Mormon church or anything else.
I know it's a bunch of crap but They teach that since everybody that has been born hasn't been able to hear about Mormonizm that a person (Mormon) can be bapize for someone else into the LDS org. making them Mormon.
I know stupid, Huh?
Jeff Gilbert
