Parents of the Sarah Polson that maried Samuel Rorex are
William Polson / Poulson and Lucia Davis.
William and Lucia were married 8 Oct. 1803 in Garrard County
Kentucky. Lucia Davis was born about 1784 in VA. Her name is
sometimes listed as Lucy. Lucia Davis's parents were William
Davis and Mary Ann Black. Both of Lucia's parents died in Maynard's
Cove, Jackson County AL.
I am trying to give William and Lucia two children in
addition to your Sarah. (One is my ancestor and another
follows my ancester along and looks like his sister).
William G. (Greer?) Polson b. about 1803 in KY is my ancestor.
He later moved to Lincoln Co. TN, married Elizabeth Ferguson
and moved on to Arkansas. Full details on his family are at:

The other sibling I am trying to give Sarah is Mary Henrietta
Polson b. about 1812 TN, m. Josiah Norwood and died 27 Feb. 1897
at Southwest City MO. Mary Henrietta and my William G. Polson
lived and raised their families very close to each other. They look
like siblings, but have no real link to prove it.
Do you have any info on your Sarah's parents or on her
brothers and sisters? If Sarah's parents were married in 1803
their is plenty of time for other children to be born prior to
Sarah in 1821.
A William Polson shows on the 1810 KY census that looks
like William Polson - Lucia Davis family in Garrard County.
Household has 3 males under 10, one male 26-45 (William
the father) and one female 16-26 (Lucia the mother). One
of the three young males could be my William G. Polson.
Your Sarah Polson and my Mary Henrietta Polson are not
yet born.
Does any body have any info on the William Polson - Lucia
Polson family that might help my family tie in?
