MRS. HANNAH BOWMAN DIES WEST OF
EXETER

Miss Hannah M. Rosenstein,
daughter of Rudolph and Bettie
Rosenstein, was born April 13,
1860, age 76 years, 3 mo. 3days.
She came to Barry County in 1873
and has lived here every since.
She was united in marriage to
J.K. Bowman, February 4, 1877.
To this union was born 3 child-
ren, Mrs. Ora Cole of Exeter,
Mo., Mrs. Lizzie McNabb of Sanger,
Calif., and Rudolph Boman, Fresno,
Cal. Also 9 living grand child-
ren and 9 great grand-children;
3 sisters all in Texas; two bro-
thers, Ed of Tulsa, Okla; and
Julius of Tyler, Texas. She
professed faith in Christ at an
early age and joined the Cumber-
land Presbyterian Church at Con-
cord, where she remained a mem-
ber till death. She had been
in failing health since October
and bedfast for 3 weeks. She
bore her sufferings with patience,
with never a word of complaint
and often told the family she
was ready and willing to go to
her savior and loved ones.
Funeral services were held at
the Exeter Baptist Church in
Exeter on Friday afternoon,
July 17, 1936, by Chas. Vanzandt.
Burial in the Maplewood Cemetery,
under the direction of the Barr
and Blankenship Funeral Service.
Mrs. Bowman was an excellent
lady and had many friends over
the county. She was one of the
county's old time citizens and
loved by all who knew her.
