Just tonight I have been reading some info that was sent to my mother in 1985 from a Adolph Lange of Youngstown Ohio. It's not easy to read but his handwritten chart shows Daniel R. born 3/3/1838 in Gewrmany, married a Lizzie Welk and had several childen >>Gustav Herman, Sophie, Daniel Jr., Otto, Martin, Helmut, Max and Hugo. Other Rosentreters are lsted.
Evidently my grt grnfather Gustav b 3/14/1858 is a brother to Daniel Jr. Gus was born in Posen, m Augusta Bluvenick and came to Detroit in 1881. Later he and family came to Oswego, Oregon with their ch Rudolph, Louisa, Charles, Frederick and Albert. There is some question with the dates and descent on the papers I have. Gustav had a sister Louisa who m a Schneider and lived in Minot, North Dakota, she had a grnson named Paul.
Possibly the lineage is Michael b 1760, Martin b 1789, Daniel b 3/31838, Gustave Herman b 6/24/1868. Like I said their some mixup of info here.
Mr Lange sent mom several pages of Rosentreters. Sharon Sue HArris Marvin
