I recently came across the name Peter Roschon as the husband of Verena "Fanny" Poff, a sister of my maternal line Pfaff from Switzerland to the US in the 1816 era.
I show them in 1850 census of Fairfield Co., Ohio and Fanny is quite older than Peter, but this shows them on the Amtsfield genealogy. I have other lines out of Montgomery Co., Pa....Bigoney-Fritz-Liebgut (Levengood/Lievengutt and other spellings)-Brandt/Brant, etc. I wondered how the documentation of this Peter to be wed to Fanny Poff has been authenticated? She would be a sibling of my ancestor Johannes (John) Pfaff (Poff) born 1808/9 in Switzerland, s/o of Heinrich Pfaff and wife, Elizabeth Spinnler Poff-known in some family files as "Fanny".
I wonder if the boy in their household named Egals is actually an Egolf? He fits the age of an Egolf in the online John T. Amstfield genealogy
