In these days since that terror of 9/11/2001.
We all look inside ourselves for comfort. As our ancient ones before us that believed in Christians, leaving for the Crusades. Our sons and daughters, prepare to do battle for all of us.May the ancient ancestors shield them from harm.
There was members of the House of Rossignol who were active in the Crusades. Jean deRossignol was mentioned as being a Chevalier(knight)in the Order Militaire-et-Hospitalier de Saint-Jean de Jersaleum in 1180.Another was Flotard de Rossignol, who was a member of the Knight of Saint -Jean de Jerusalem. This order of knights became known as the Knights of Malta after they moved to the island of Malta.
When Pierre de Rossignol wed Demoiselle de Murat, of the Barons of Murat he married a lineal descendant of the de la Tour family. When his grandson,Jean de Rossignol, later married Beatrix de la Tour d'Auvergne, the de Rossignols again joined their bloodlines with those of the House of de la Tour.
Their mutual ancestor,Bernard de la Tour, was a crusading knight who fought with Saint-Louis,King of France,as the siege of the Crusaders in Tunis. He died on August 14,1270.
May we see PEACE on EARTH. God Bless Us Each and Everyone.
