Roessing or Rossing

The spelling of this name in our family is Roessing. It is my middle name passed down to family members since it was the surname of my Great-Great Grandfather who immigrated to the U.S. in the 1880's from Hamburg, Germany. He came here with his wife and youngest children, my Great-Grandmother Martha and her sister. I have been told he came via Ellis Island, and went from there to join either His brothers or his son's(this is not clear) in Fort Dodge, Iowa where these brother's or son's ran a delivery service/freight. If anyone out there should see this and any of it goes along with any family history of your own, please let me know-thank you.

Michael
