Hi Barbara Gladwell,
My name is Kriss (Kirstin) Rothenbuhler from Washington. I came across
your message posted on forum and thought I'd reply. I
have been researching the Rothenbuhler Family for the last 2 years and
have just recently came across a folder containing many letters from our
Ohio branch. In one of the letters from Lilly (Traxel) Miller she
mentioned that Johann (John) Rothenbuhler III married Socia Gladwell in
Ohio after coming to the US with his brother Jacob (My great x3
grandfather) in 1880. They originally settled in Piketon, OH. Socia was the
daughter of James & Eliza Gladwell and had 1 daughter named Margarita
(Mae) Rothenbuhler. This is all the information I have collected on Johann
and Socia thus far. He had 10 brothers and sisters; four sisters
remained in Ohio, one was adopted and remained in Switzerland. 2 of the 4
brothers came to Washington and the other 4 I'm not sure. You can visit
the Rothenbuhler Family Website at for more
information. If you have any information on Margarita (Mae) and her
family tree could you please help me out?

I hope to hear from you. Till then

Kriss Rothenbuhler
