Thanks for your reply. I've seen several genealogies that report John Roulstone's death in Virginia in 1744. None provide any reference to document this statement. This is what I have been in search of. Do you know of any documents that prove his presence or death in Staunton? John moved his family to Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where they resided from about 1713 to some time after 1719. It is after 1719 that I lost track of him. I think he moved back to Boston, at least for a while. His youngest daughter, Dorothea Rolstone, married May 03, 1739 in Boston.
William Rolstone, born about 1708, is thought to have been the first child of John and Dorothy Roulstone. It seems logical as the couple married in 1707 and their first of five documented children was born in 1710. I have found no birth or baptism record for William.
