I guess it would be possible that he may have been in the Spanish American War. I believe he passed away Aug. 30, 1917, possibly in Springfield, VT. I have written to the Springfield Town Clerk to see if there is a death certificate for him there. Other family members in Springfield in the 1910 census were his sister, Eunice Round Davis, his father, George R. Round, and his mother, Lettie Byron Round.
