Isaac E. Rounsavall is the son of William Rounsavall and wife Elizabeth Twiner. Here is draft information from a forthcoming book on the Rounsavall (and ville) descendants:
William Rounsavall was born in early 1791 in Davidson County, Tennessee . He was the first child born of Isaac Rounsavall Sr. (1761-1846) and Elizabeth Ramsey Rounsavall. He married Elizabeth Twiner (daughter of John P. Twiner and Judith Peck Twiner) who was born on November 2nd, 1791 in Virginia.
The family of Isaac Rounsavall Sr. moved first into Kentucky around 1795, then to central Tennessee (in Bedford County, Tn. in 1809) and finally to the Natchez district of Mississippi by 1811/12. William Rounsavall, his wife and three daughters are shown on the 1820 federal census as living in Franklin County, Mississippi. The 1830 federal census shows William, his wife, five daughters and four sons, living in Copiah County, Mississippi. By 1840 William and family were living in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. On the 1850 federal census they are located in Bossier Parish. On the 1860 census, William and Elizabeth Rounsavall, both aged sixty-nine are found on the federal census with a daughter, C.L., aged forty . William Rounsavall was a farmer in both Mississippi and in Louisiana. The value of real estate on the William Rounsavall farm in 1860 was estimated at $12,000, which must be considered a fair sized farm by today's standards. William Rounsavall died in Louisiana before 1870. William and his wife Elizabeth Twiner Rounsavall had the following children:
