I know it is a reply to a post from a long time ago but other people may later need this information.
I have Edward Russell Jr born as Edouard Roussel October 12, 1875 and baptized October 14 at Sainte-Angele-de-Monnoir.On the other hand I don't know if he was born in Connecticut or Canada.I believe Edouard Sr and Matilda were living in Connecticut at the time of the 1870 US Census so I cannot be entirely sure.

That should be a link to the baptism in Canada. It even says Edward Jr married Angelina Saulnier so this is the right guy. Now, if I had to guess they married in that area.I have Mathilda born in 1850. I assume she married around 18.Edward Sr was baptized in Mont-Saint-Gregoire-de-Iberville but his parents married in Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir.The two possibilities are Iberville or Monnoir.
It is a safe bet that family stayed in the area until Edward and Matilda moved to the United States.I believe I found a match for Edward Sr and family in the 1900 US Census.Junior went by "Delose" and was a sausage maker.More importantly it says they moved to the United States in 1875 so it must be shortly after Edward Jr was born?
