Hello. I'm a descendent of Margaret Lynem and her brother Francis Lynem, mulatto children willed to Hannah Routt Wickers and William Routt by their father Peter Routt in Stafford County, VA.

I'm trying to find any information on these mulatto children. They were considered free persons of color and were bound out in indenturement to Peter Routt. As you may know, many free persons of color during that time descended from white indentured women having children by men of color.

I'm wondering if there's any record suggestion Peter Routt had a white indentured servant by the name of Lynem [which is a strong Irish name].

Thank you so much.
