I've been looking for Martha (Routt)(Routh)(Route) b 1826 VA d 1894 Winchester KY (1)m 1848 W W Bruce b 1825 Scotland d 1860 Winchester KY, (2)m 1865 Henry Bruce (bro of W W)b? d 1873 Winchester KY, (3)m ca 1871-75 Gilkerson Rippey b? d 1875 Winchester KY. Three sons James Tandy Bruce m Permelia Odgen, Wallace Wm Bruce m Sarah M Barnes, Johnnie Bruce m ? and a dau Mary Santford Bruce m Thomas Piersall.
According to a family diary, Martha was orphaned and her uncle Rodney Rutledge took her by horseback to KY at the age of twelve. I've hit brick walls can anyone help???
