The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, April 11, 1907
MARIE ROW was born at Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio, December 17, 1828, and
died at her home in Chariton, April 3d, 1907, at the age of 78 years, three
months and 16 days. She was married to APPLETON B. NOBLE at Williamsport,
Ohio, May 14, 1851. To this union were born two daughters and four sons.
Two daughters and the father having passed on before, leaving four sons,
CHARLES E. and CLINTON A. of Chariton; WARREN and GEORGE M., of Chicago, and one brother, SAMUEL S. ROW, of this city, as her survivors. They came to Chariton in 1854, where they have since resided.
MRS. NOBLE was a true Christian woman, her aim in this life being to lighten
the burden of others and to lend a helping hand to those who were in need
and by her pleasant and amiable manner had made a host of friends who mourn
her departure. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Evans of
the M.E. Church, Friday, at 2:00 p.m., and interment made in Chariton
Cemetery.
