I would like to confirm the parents of Samuel Rowe. I am hoping he was the son of David and Elizabeth Rowe. The Samuel Rowe that I have info on married Anna Tanger, daughter of Andrew Tanger of Lancaster County. HE HE THE ONE I AM LOOKING FOR??????????????????? He was born July 3 1826 in Lancaster County.
My Row line begins with David (sometimes mistaken for Daniel Row on census transcriptions). David Row/Rowe was married to an Elizabeth (unknown last name). This family had the following children.....
Sarah Row/Rowe; born c 1821 in Lancaster County, married one Lewis Allen from York County, Pa. I have three children for them.....two girls and one son.
Rebecca Row/Rowe; born c 1824 (nothing more known by me)
Samuel Row/Rowe; born c 1827. The Samuel Rowe that married Anna Tanger was born in 1826.
Mary B. Row/Rowe; born Feb 9 1829 died Nov 10 1911 in Phila. She was the wife of Jacob Myers and their headstone is one of the few still visable at the Strasburg M. E. Church Cemetery on Main Street in Strasburg, Lanc. Co., Pa.
Jacob Myers and Mary B. Row are my gggrandparents.
George Row/Rowe; born Oct. 23 1831 and married one Barbara Unknown last name. If this is the correct George Row then their children were J. Milton Rowe (J. Milton married Martha H.), Anna M. Rowe, Elizabeth Rowe, and Ella B. Rowe.
Additional information wanted on any family member or corrections welcome to information above. Too bad I didn't ask more questions when I was younger.
