Rowbottom at Waterloo 1815

I am trying to validate if a William Rowbottom was killed in 1815 at the Battle of Waterloo.
He was apparently a sergeant (no.7975) in the Royal Scots Greys and mentioned on a memorial at Waterloo.
can anyone help?
