Updating information on this entry as more info has come to light with the 1901 census.

James George Rowden was born 1871 St Luke, London, a french polisher. He is shown in 1901 as living with his wife Frances I Rowden, who is listed as French. This is my great grandmother Frances Jane Wilson, who was actually born 7 Nov 1871 at 3 Cromwell Place, Clerkenwell. This was known as a slum so no wonder she decided to lie about her birthplace and background. She is supposed to be married to George Roberts, born 1871 St Luke who was a soldier all his life. I have no idea who she was actually married to and cannot find any marriage details on either. Any help with this brickwall would be much appreciated.
