Thanks Lurah for the replies. I have all the census info tracked out on Greenberry. I am sorry that I did not say so in my first post.

As far as the Civil War, I have searched all the military records and all the sites on the Internet and can only verify 3 of the Roden/Rawdon boys who were supposed to have served. I have about concluded that it is one of those family tales that has some basis of truth and then gets added to down through the years.

I appreciate you time and your replies. My biggest problem in trying to help my friend is that the few Roden/Rawdon researchers who have replied seem to be busy or not very active. They reply stating they may be able to help but that is the extent of it. Hoping that soon will reply to my most recent e-mails or postings.
