Thank you for your reply. I, too, have quite a bit on Mary Jane Rowden and her family, but I have not been able to get farther than Allan's information. There are no birth records that I have found and cannot confirm his father. Did you ever find who Phillip's father was?

Zantha is the correct spelling.
My father grew up in Galena, KS & spoke of growing up with his Rowden/Brookens cousins. He said the Rowden side of the family was a lot of fun and there were a lot of them. He said in the evening they would play instruments and dance!
