My great, great, grandfather is John C. Rowden. He was born in Chittlehampton,Devon ,England in 1844. His father is John Rowden, mother Mary Crispin. John was born 1805 in Bishops Tawton, Devonshire, England. His parents are Robert Rowden and Ann Whitfield. The older John made the voyage from Plymouth, England to Canada in the fall of 1854. Robert and Ann I believed remained in England. I have quite a bit more information about my Rowden family. If interested let me know.
