Crockett Allen Rowden was a brother of Susan and John A Rowden (named in Tom Kings posted reply). All are the children of Hubbard A Rowden and Permilia Everett.
Crockett was born 22 May 1836, GA, died 27 Oct 1916, Gwinnett Co., GA. He married Adaline Hutchins Abt 1866. Crockett served in the Civil War, enlisting Nov 4, 1861, Mustering first with "H" Co. GA 10th State Troopers, and then on 13 May 1862 mustering into "K" Co. GA 36th Infantry. He was listed as POW at Vicksburg, MS ,4 July 1863, Paroled 9 July 1863 at Vicksburg, MS;listed as a POW again 31 Aug 1864 at Jonesboro, GA, Exchanged 19 Sept 1864 at Rough and Ready, GA. Most of the Rowden brothers I have found to have served in Civil War.

I descend through John A Rowden, father of my gggrandmother Alice America Rowden, sister of Zack, Zedick, Rachel, and Emma.
John seems to be the only one of his family to have come west.

good luck,
