Though my Rodden is not from Alabama, he did migrate there about 1845 from McMinn/Monroe Co. Tennessee, and before that, North Carolina. He was born in either VA or SC, still not certain which, in 1799. I believe he migrated there to be near family. County KNOWN to be in FOR SURE, Jefferson Co., AL. MAY also have been in Marshall Co., AL by 1848. Would love to hear from any Roddens who had an ancestor living in these known areas. He may have had a second marriage and second family. The second family may think they were the first and only. Wife's name may be Aresena (Sena/Sina?) or Martha. His name, Spencer H. May have also gone by his middle name, though I'm not sure what it was, only that it began with an H. Married 1st in 1826, 2nd in 1846/1848.
