I have been given some letters that were mistakenly thought to be written to my own grandmother who was named Bessie Barnhart. Upon looking them over carefully I can see they weren't to her although the coincidence of where and how these letters were found is pretty amazing. Anyway, I have started a blog and will be slowly transcribing the letters and posting them in hopes of finding the correct family that these letters belong to.
The letters are dated June, 1907 to 1911. The first letters are addressed to Joplin, MO, others in the middle are addressed to Osceola, MO, and the final letters are to Loomis, WA -- which is less than 10 miles from where my Grandmother, Bessie Barnhart Moothart lived most of her adult life! They were all written by her beau, C.E. Rowe.
