Rowe Family Genealogy Forum

Hello Roger,
Thanks for responding. But I am uncertain whether the Rowe tie I have found is related to the Rowe (Row?) family that founded Rowsburg. It may be more likely than not, that the Rowe I have reference to is also in that same family, but I have no way of knowing for sure, since my connection is no earlier than the mid 1840's, long after Rowsburg was founded. If a tie between my Mr. Rowe and the founding family can be identified, then I would certainly be interested in the history of that founding family.
But the clues I have are very few. My Mr. Rowe's given name is not identified. All I have is the notion that in about 1844, he already had at least one brewery, perhaps in the local area. About that time I have that he purchased another brewery, this one appearing to be more definitely in the Rowsburg area. The manuscript I have, mentions him as "a Mr. Rowe of Rowsburg, a wealthy man already in the trade." That certainly isn't much to go on. But if the Rowsburg founding family history is as fully recounted as I suspect, then any members who have been confirmed as being in the brewery business would be very interesting to me.
Dan
