John,
I'm doing a one name study on the RENSHAW surname, and am somewhat familiar with your Samantha Meyers/Myers and John Allen Renshaw line, John Allen being s/o Nathan Lyon Renshaw (1802, Rowan Co., NC - d. 1852, Rutherford Co., TN) and Lettie Dunn.
I've been trying to fill out John Allen Renshaw's line, and wondered if you might already know who the parents of this Louise Katherine Renshaw were?
I had followed one of J.A. & Samantha's sons (John J., b. abt 1870, TN, who m. Mattie Smith, b. 1875, TN - d. 1957, ??), in the censuses from Hamilton Co., TN (1920) to Catoosa Co., GA (1930), and currently have 4 daughterslisted for them - Allie M. (b. abt 1895), Ella M. (b. abt 1898), Emmalie (or Emma Lee) (b. abt 1900), and Callie (b. abt 1902), but I don't know who Katherine Louise belongs to.
I'm also seeking info about J.A.'s brother, Samuel J. Renshaw (b. abt 1875, TN) who m. Jessie E. (mnu). The 1910 & 1920 censuses show they had a son named John A. (possibly named after Samuel's father, John Allen?), abt 1904, TN.The census records also show that Jessie was b. in GA (thus some ties?), and while the last census I found her and Sam was in 1920 Hamilton Co., TN, I wondered if they also migrated to GA when John J. and Mattie did? I've not found them on a 1930 census yet.
Thanks for any help you or anyone else can provide.
