Thanks Lloyd... I have found the information I was seeking... with much thanks to Susan Warren, the Author of the book "Hub of the Rideau" ISBN 0-9682991-0-5... she had gleaned more info than what appears in her book. I believe the Elisha I was seeking was a nephew of John..(see Susan's post of Dec. 1999) and settled Bastard Township... most of his relations later moved to Edmonton, Alberta where he most likely died in 1899 -(he was b 1828- came to Bastard Twp. between 1840-1850) His Widow Sarah Ann Poole most likely returned to Bastard Township after her husband's demise, and is buried Halladay Cem. Elgin, Ont. (per transcribed records of Halladay Cem (SEPT 28, 1838-JAN 9, 1923). Elisha was a carpenter ... and is most likely, the "chairmaker" I was seeking. Thanks for your help..
