Here is some of the messages that I have recieve RE; a William Royer, email was from:Madelyne Fitzpatrick, California [email protected]
Looking for information about my great, great, great grandfather John Royer
(Roy-er);
his son William Benjamin Franklin Royer and their families.John Royer was a
native of Pennsylvania and published the first Democratic and also the first
German newspaper in Chester Co. Penn.William Benjamin Franklin Royer was a
native of Chester Co. and was a printer/typesetter who learned from his
father.Any information you might be able to share with me would sure be
appreciated.Thank you in advance.
Hello Rick,
Thank you for the quick reply.Going over some papers I see that William B.F.
Royer moved from Chester Co. Penn. to Jo Daviess Co. Ill for health reasons.
In Fall of '49 he left there for Nevada City, CA and hauled provisions to the
goldminers. In 1850 came back to Penn. to visit parents (John). In 1852
married Margaret Brew (native of Ireland) in Galena, Ill. In '52 they came
West to Nevada City, CA and then settled in Indiana Springs, CA
William B.F. Royer died in Roseville, CA (82 yrs.) Margaret died 9 years
earlier.
William was born approx. 1826-27.
I am most curious about the paper and of course the name of John's wife and
any history there might be in Penn.
Thanks again. Hope to hear from you.

MadelyneHi Rick,
Hi Rick,Sorry for the delay in responding. We had a bit of trouble with our terminal.
Had to take it in.By time we got it back I forgot password. I use different
names for different things and totally forgot about YeloRose.I am so sorry.
About Royer Park in Roseville:it was named for my greatgrandparents Thomas
Francis and Ellen Frances (King) Royer.Under one of the trees there is a
small plaque in their memory. The street behind the park is named Royer St.
and some homes still there were built by greatgrandfather. The Royer home is
still there as well.We live about an hour and half away and so am able to
get up that way from time to time. The information I had sent to you was
found in the library there. It was published in 1924 or thereabouts.
I really do appreciate all your help.It sure is a head scratcher though
isn't it???
