Hi, My Ancestors (2nd GGrand Parents) were Married at Manchester Cathedral in 1857, they are Joseph and Sarah Grimshaw-Roylance,Sarah was supposidly born somewhere in or near Ashton under Lyne. and Joseph I am unsure of, except that his Father, Peter (A Chair Maker) was supposed to have been born in Ormskirk. (Still, Not sure) They Immigrated to USA, from Liverpool and Landed in NYC, June 1864. Settled, Lived, Farmed, Raised 4 Beautiful Children, and Died in Cohoes, Albany Co. NY. I have all the history from 1864 to present, but nothing known in UK yet. Still researching!!!. Cathy.
