Duncan,

You have no idea how pleased I am to at last get in touch with you, I wrote to you over a year ago in response to your post about Smitherman and all variants, but your email address had two underscores between the D and the surname and it bounced back. I will list the documents I possess and the information on them, please not the widely varying spelling. Here is what I have:

Birth Certificate:
Ann Rebbeca SmithIman born July 7 1865 in Chorlton Hulme Lancashire. Father James SmithIman (Book Keeper), Mother Sarah SmithIman, formerly SmithIman.

Marriage Certificate:
Joseph Wilkinson (24) m. Anne Rebecca SmithEman (18) March 4 1883 at the Parish Church of Heaton Reddish, Lancashire. Anne's father is listed as James SmithEman (Clerk)

Death Certificate:
Sarah Smithaman (42) Aug. 30 1885 in Brinnington Stockport Cheshire. Her occupation is listed as "Widow of James Smithaman a Railway Clerk". Informant is listed as William Roylance, Brother-in-law. His address at the time was 38 Providence Street, Lancashire Hill, Stockport.

From the BMI:
Ann Rebecca Wilkinson (55)was buried Jul. 28 1920 at Brinnington Brunswick Methodist, Stockport.

From Cheshire BMD:
William Roylance m. Emma Smithaman 1867 at St. Mary's Stockport. (I did not order this certificate)

I of course also have the 1881 and 1901 census info on my Smithamans (on the 1901 cencus, Anne is transformed to Annie Wilkinson)

The only information I have for James and Sarah is what I have already given you. The misinformation about the cousin relationship is what I had mistakenly pieced together from your earlier posts.

I would LOVE to get my hands on your Smithaman tree and would be more than happy to send you copies of anything of mine which may be of use or interest to you.
