Hi Richard,
I thought I would send you another e-mail.
John Bate was my 2nd great grandfather. I looks like we are related.
I have a number of the Royle's in my family tree from Cheshire, England.
My conection goes back to Thomas Bate Aldford Lea, Paraish of Aldford, County Chester at Runcorn, married Jane Royle about 1813. They had 6 children: 1. John Bate b.January 01, 1816, 2. Samuel Bate b. September 02, 1818, 3. Sarah Bate b. September 30, 1819, 4. George James Bate b. October 20, 1820, 5. Helen Augusta Bate b. Abt. 1823, 6. Royal Bate b. September 04, 1826.
Jane Royle's Father, Samuel Royle b. February 05, 1755 of Folke Stapleford, Par of Tarvin, County Chester. Mother: Sarah Alcock b. August 20, 1749, Cheshire, England. They had 5 children: 1. Elizabeth Royle b. August 12, 1783, 2. James Royle b. June 26, 1785, 3. Jane Royle b. August 12, 1789, 4. Elizabeth Royle b. May 04, 1791, 5. Helen Royle b. May 17, 1797.
I have the Royle's back to about the early 1700s.
Are you related to the Bate family of Lewis County Kentucky? If you are I have a lot of information for you.
I would be very interested in exchanging information with you.
