Thanks for your prompt reply Stephen. I'm very excited about the forthcoming "book".

My Husband's grandfather, who was the son of William Hansen and Catherine Ruan, was born in St.Thomas.He studied at the University of Hamburg,Germany, and obtained an Engineering Degree. He migrated from there to Australia in 1879. His brother Edgar Ruan Hansen, also migrated to Australia about the same time.Edgar never married, so no issue.
William Hansen and Catherine Ruan both perished in a hurricane in St'Thomas about 1916. William Hansen was the Manager of the Military Hospital in Charlotte Amalie. He held the rank of Captain.

I have quite a bit of information on this branch of the family, kindly provided by a person who is researching the Islands in his retirement.

I would be happy to provide information of our branch of the family for the "book" if the researcher would like it.
