Rubalcava from Jalisco

Yes, the rubalcava name is from the highlands of jalisco. My family is from Yahualica, Jalisco and has been from approximately 1600 or so. The name is spelled in different variations, rubalcava, ruvalcaba, or rubalcaba but the spelling that is registered in spain is RUBALCAVA. The town of Yahualica has had many rubalcava's, most interesting was how during the revolution priest named rubalcava stopped the revolutionarys from looting the town. The name is from a town named rubalcava in Santander which is in the north of Spain. I do want to know more, please email at gaber451@hotmail.com
