Are folks aware of the very active Irish Palatine mailing list. If not, may I recommend it. In recent weeks it has become extremely active, with many subscribers feeding in information, as well as the usual questions and answers. You don't have to get involved in the exchanges, but you may enjoy the experience of being immersed in the history that encompasses the origins of some Ruckels and Ruttles, following the migration of refugees from the German Pfalz to Ireland in 1709.

If you would like to sign up to this list, simply send an e-mail to with the one word message SUBSCRIBE You will soon receive an acknowledgement from the site, telling you how to submit messages and how to unsubscribe if you wish. Any e-mail you send to the list is distributed to all subscribers.
